What will the Business Development Director be doing day to day?
As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for generating leads, prospecting, and building relationships with potential clients to help grow our Azure and GitHub consulting business. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers, and Microsoft & GitHub
- Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle
- Identify and qualify potential clients through research, outreach, and networking
- Generate and follow up on leads to schedule sales appointments
- Work closely with sales and marketing to develop targeted outreach strategies for the business
- Maintain and update the company’s CRM database with accurate and timely information
- Assist in the creation of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery
- Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities
- Work with our Channel Partners to identify opportunities and partner with them to deliver value to our customers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the technology consulting industry
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Dynamics 365
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for technology and desire to learn about Azure and cloud computing
- Experience in the software consulting or Azure industries (preferred but not required)
