Microsoft Gold Partner Xpirit launches IoT practice

/ 10 Jan, 2022

Hilversum, the Netherlands, 10 January 2022 – after launching a Cloud-Native Software Development practice and a Managed Services practice last year, Xpirit now also celebrates the launch of an IoT practice

Xpirit is a fast-growing Microsoft boutique consulting firm and proudly part of Xebia. The complementary chapters of Xebia deliver cutting-edge technology and game-changing consulting to companies on the brink of transformation. Founded in 2014, Xpirit now employs over 60 experts, including 18 Microsoft MVPs and 3 Microsoft Regional Directors that are now part of the Xpirit journey. Xpirit is the first GitHub Verified Partner in Europe, in addition to being a Microsoft Gold Partner.

Xpirit launched two new practices last year, Managed Services and Cloud-Native Software Development. With the start of a new year, Xpirit celebrates the launch of a third new practice – Xpirit IoT: Smart & Connected Services.

Xpirit IoT will help customers be successful in IoT, regardless of where they stand today: the Xpirit Vision, Roadmap & Readiness approach is perfectly suited for all companies looking to embark on an IoT journey. For clients that have IoT initiatives underway, the newly developed IoT assessment and maturity scan allow Xpirit to quickly assess an existing IoT solution to answer that burning question: “Am I doing things right?” By looking at all relevant aspects – platform, data, security, soft- and hardware as well as the supporting organization – this question can be rapidly and decisively answered. Each assessment includes an overview of the status quo, a future blueprint, and a clear roadmap of what to improve first.

The IoT practice will be led by Tijmen van de Kamp as CTO. Tijmen: “More and more, I see customers driving their own IoT agenda: they are increasingly looking for partners that can support them, in addition to partners that deliver IoT solutions end-to-end for them. At Xpirit, we can do both.” Xpirit founder Marcel de Vries is happy with the launch of a third new practice: “We are eager to take our existing skills and talent into an area where we have not yet made our mark. With the team that joined us, I am confident we can expand our thought-leadership to this exciting domain.

The IoT practice is complementary to the existing Xpirit propositions, all aimed at building Engineering Cultures, with and for their customers: cloud-native, secure by design, powered by DevOps. The unofficial motto of “we/together/you” underlines the ability of Xpirit to empower its customers. Xpirit leverages the comprehensive set of IoT components within the Microsoft Azure cloud to deliver end-to-end solutions. The new practice is already well underway, with a team of six experienced IoT technologists who have joined Xpirit IoT.
